Let me tell you a really quick story.
A few years back there was an Olympic competitor competing in the summer Olympics in his sport Sharpshooting.
The competitor had done fantastic all day long and is on track to win his SECOND GOLD!
He gets up to take his final shot to win.
He gets himself setup. He sets his sights. He breathes. He shoots.
HE HITS DEAD CENTER OF THE TARGET.
He’s excited. but the crowd and judges are quiet.
Then the sharpshooter realizes what he’d done.
He did everything EXACTLY AS HE WAS SUPPOSED TO.
Except one thing.
He was aiming at the wrong target.
He would have won the Summer Olympics. (Instead… He came in 8th)
But he made one small mistake. A mistake so small no one thought it possible.
He aimed at the wrong target by mistake.
He hit the wrong target dead center.
But it was still…..
The wrong target. (In this case called cross firing)
Heres why this story is important.
Because when I work with people I more times than not finding them doing almost everything right….
But hitting the wrong target. Just due to aiming (focusing) at the wrong thing.
Effort in the gym > Time in the gym
How many calories > How often your eating
How your clothes fit > How many pounds are down
What you can do > What you cant do
