When something happens, do you focus on the positive things or the negative?
Do you focus on the things you can do or only on what you can’t do?
I notice MOST people focus on the negative, even when there is so much positive.
I see it all to often…
A perfect example of this is when people injure themselves…..
Someone will hurt their knee or shoulder and all of a sudden because they are hurt they cannot do ANYTHING…
Trust me, I have hurt myself….but here is the difference….
When I dislocated my shoulder….I found the things I COULD DO.
When I separated my AC Clavicular….I found the things I COULD DO.
When I twisted my knee and could barely walk….I found the things I COULD DO.
When I fractured my wrist…..I found the things I COULD DO.
I’ve actually met people who have been training with me, who have experienced injuries like this and told themselves they couldn’t train anymore…
Instead when I hurt my shoulder (2x) I trained back and lower body.
Instead when I busted my knee and could hardly bend my knee, I trained hamstrings (no knee bend) and upper body.
Instead when I fractured my wrist I trained the opposite side and lower body…
I FOUND WHAT I COULD DO AND DID IT!
