Why I have a coach (even though I’m married to one & have my own gym)

By jeff 0

Have you ever wondered why I have a coach even though I AM a coach and am married to a phenomenal coach? I know at least some of you have, because I often get a response of surprise when I tell people I have a coach, and that coach is not Jeff lol. As far as why it’s not Jeff, no fancy answer, he’s amazing at what he does but because we are married it’s a different dynamic and I honestly don’t like him correcting me or telling me what to do LOL!

Anyway, my point is, even coaches get coaches 🙋‍♀️

Why? Because we are ALL human. Because NO ONE knows everything. Because there is ALWAYS more to learn and different perspectives to see and appreciate. Because last but not least there is SO much value in having support and accountability!

It’s not easier for me because I own a gym. It’s not easier for me because fitness is literally my life. I FEEL your pain and your struggles. Believe it or not, I can relate to a lot of them! I wasn’t always fit, I wasn’t always healthy, and I STILL don’t always have motivation. My path to success in fitness is full of mistakes, and started with a girl who was weak, unhealthy, struggled with substances and eating disorders, and had no clue what she was doing. I’ve come so incredibly far since then, but I STILL struggle and fall off the wagon sometimes. Which is why I have, and need, a coach. I preaching to you the importance of having a coach, and believe in this wholeheartedly, or else I wouldn’t do this for a living! This is my passion and if I expect YOU to invest in and value coaching, shouldn’t I do the same!?

I spent years struggling at the beginning of my fitness journey. I felt lost and embarrassed at the gym. I read magazines and googled my questions, and searched youtube for fitness tips and workout videos.

Did that help me? NO not at all, if anything, I was left more confused. I was overloaded with information, a lot of it conflicting which made me second guess EVERYTHING and not stick to ANYTHING!

With each week came a new workout plan, a new diet, or even worse, a new “cleanse” 🤦‍♀️

Looking back I can laugh at some of the dumb stuff I did (skinny pills and cleanses SMH), and also appreciate what I’ve learned and how far I’ve come. I’m thankful for all my mistakes and all my wasted time at the beginning of my fitness journey because it led to me to a point where I realized I CANNOT do it alone, and that is completely OK.

I got to a point where I was completely SICK of wasting my time, my money, my energy, and my HEALTH on quick fixes and BS advice that led to no results , or only very temporary ones.

I finally saw the value of investing in PEOPLE. I’m stubborn AF and have always been the type to just learn form my mistakes, but who wants to spend their whole life doing that, when you can INVEST and exponentially expedite your progress and your learning by investing in PEOPLE and learning from their experience. INVEST in support, in knowledge, in accountability & guidance.

Save yourself time, energy, and money (in the long run) by investing in PEOPLE who who will help you create the REAL change you’ve been chasing after.

Do NOT ever undervalue your time and your energy, and don’t underestimate the value of real people committed to helping you learn more while giving you different perspectives and providing accountability and support.

If you know anything about our gym, you know we are committed to our members and helping them achieve REAL change and results! We are committed to helping you have a different, and positive, gym experience, and we are committed to providing you the accountability, support, and knowledge you need to stick to it and keep progressing on your fitness journey.

I don’t have a cheesy special or sales pitch, I’m just sharing my experience from my heart in hopes that I can help you, the way I helped myself when I finally decided to stop trying to do it alone, and INVEST in people to provide me with what I needed to grow and excel.
